Q. Can I use the internet or Wi-Fi?

A. Free Wi-Fi is available for use in all areas of the Center. However, simultaneous access by a large number of users may cause a drop in connection speed or difficulty connecting.

6 internet ports (free) and 1 English and 1 Japanese internet-connected PCs (paid) are also available at the Business Center.

Q. Can you exchange money?

A. Our currency exchange service changes major currencies such as EUR, USD, and GBP to Japanese yen.

Q. Do you have AEDs installed?

A. AEDs are installed in 6 locations (Main Entrance, Main Lobby, First Aid, Annex Hall, Event Hall and New Hall).

Q. May I borrow a wheelchair?

A. 7 wheelchairs (for on-site use only) are available at 6 locations (Main Entrance, South Entrance, First Aid, Annex Hall,
Event Hall and New Hall.)

Q. Do you have a post office or ATM?

A. Not on-site – please see the ICC Kyoto Area Map for the nearest post office. There is a Bank of Seven ATM inside the Kokusaikaikan
Subway Station.

Q. Do you have an ATM where I can withdraw cash using a foreign-issued credit card?

A. Not on-site – please see the ICC Kyoto Area Map for the nearest ATM, inside the Kokusaikaikan Subway Station.

Q. Are there smoking areas on-site?

A. All the buildings are non-smoking. There are smoking spaces at the rotary of Main Entrance and in an area of the Japanese garden.

Q. Are there restaurants or convenience stores nearby?

A. Yes, within walking distance. Please view our ICC Kyoto Area Map. There is also a convenience store inside the Kokusaikaikan Subway Station.

Parking Lot and Access

Q. Can those other than event participants and staff use the parking lot?

A. In general, the parking lot is also open to the general public, but please note that spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, parking is not available to the general public when the parking lot is reserved for events, so please confirm in advance.

Q. What are the exact fees for the parking lot for 24 hours (per entry)?

A. Standard-sized cars are 1,000 yen, and buses and large vehicles are 2,500 yen for 24 hours (per entry).

Example 1: You parked a standard-sized car at 9:00 AM on January 1st, and left the parking lot at 9:00 AM on January 2nd.
You parked from 9:00 AM on January 1st to 9:00 AM on January 2nd (within 24 hours), so your fee is 1,000 yen.

Example 2: You parked a standard-sized car at 9:00 AM on January 1st, and left the parking lot at 11:00 AM on January 2nd.
Parking from 9:00 AM on January 1st to 9:00 AM on January 2nd cost 1,000 yen.
Parking from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on January 2nd also cost 1,000 yen, for a total of 2,000 yen.

Q. Do you may I use 5- or 10-thousand yen bills to pay at the parking lot machine?
  Do you accept payment methods other than cash?

A. The machine does accept 5- and 10-thousand yen bills, but we would appreciate your cooperation in using small change whenever
possible. Credit card and electronic payment are accepted in the south parking lot. 

Q. Is there a parking discount for attending an event at the Kyoto International Conference Center by car?

A. There is no discount. However, organizers may offer free parking tickets for some events.

Q. May I park my bicycle or motorcycle?

A. Two-wheeled vehicles may not use the parking lot.

Q. I use a wheelchair. Are there parking spaces near the entrance?

A. Free parking spaces are available at the main entrance the parking lot for guests with disabilities. However, please be aware that
the number of spaces is limited.

Q. How is the distinction between a standard-sized vehicle and large -sized vehicles determined?

A. Even if your vehicle registration certificate is for a standard-sized vehicle, we may ask you to pay the large vehicle fee based on the height of your vehicle. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. What time is the subway passage open?

A. Normally, the subway passage (entrance 4-2) can be used from 7: 00-22: 30. This may be extended during events.

How many years in advance can I make a reservation?

It depends on the type of event. Please see Terms of Use.

Terms of Use

May I receive a venue tour or estimate?

Venue tours are possible, but venues are sometimes unavailable when they are reserved or in use. Please contact us in advance.
Estimates are provided free of charge.

May I use a venue for a meal or party only?

Yes. Reservations are accepted starting 8 months in advance.

May I use the parking lot?

We have a parking lot, but the number of spaces is limited. Please ask your participants to attend via public transportation. VIP and organizer vehicles (except large vehicles) may park at the Main Entrance Rotary. Please consult with the staff in charge of your event about number of vehicles and parking locations. When you park, please place the “Special Parking Slip” visibly on your windshield.

Will you design a party menu for me?

We create customized menus in a variety of styles to suit the diverse preferences of guests from Japan and around the world.

What is ”Your Choice” catering service?

We partnered 5 key hotels partner several key hotels in Kyoto for ”Your Choice” in Kyoto for ”Your Choice” catering service, which will catering service, which will be available exclusively for New Hall and Event Hall.”

Do you serve Muslim, vegan and allergy-free meals?

We have vegan (vegetarian), Muslim, halal, and allergy-free menus.
We also use ingredient pictograms to help guests identify foods they can eat.

Can you arrange attractions?

We can arrange geiko (geisha) dances and hand-clapping ceremonies for a unique Kyoto experience, Kabuki dance and other traditional Japanese arts, lion dances and sword-fighting shows popular with international guests, Japanese music, including original Taiko (drum), Koto (harp), and Tsugaru-jamisen (banjo), or jazz or string quartet performances.

What types of bento lunchbox do you have?

We also have light meals for morning seminars and evening seminars as well as staff bentos.
