Kyoto International Conference Center
Yuichi Masuda, President

Since its opening in 1966, the Kyoto International Conference Center “ICC Kyoto” has, for sixty years, served as a distinguished stage for international conferences and academic exchange, fulfilling an important role in connecting the world with Japan and with Kyoto. The architecture of the Main Building, designed in harmony with its serene surroundings of water and greenery, has been increasingly acclaimed over time and is now recognized as one of Japan’s most representative examples of modernist architecture.

In an era in which the international community continues to grow ever more complex, the importance of places where people can meet face to face and engage in meaningful dialogue is greater than ever. We aspire for ICC Kyoto to remain not only a highly functional and comfortable conference venue, but also a “place of creation” where people and ideas converge and new value is generated.

At present, we are undertaking an expansion project with the construction of the New Hall. We are committed to providing an even more attractive and inspiring environment for exchange and collaboration, by preserving the value of our historic architecture and enhancing our functions to meet the evolving needs of future international conferences. We sincerely invite you to look forward to the continued evolution of ICC Kyoto.
