正面玄関には、剣持 勇氏がデザインした机と、石井 幹子氏がデザインした照明がある。
机は、建築家 大谷 幸夫氏が設計したタタキ仕上げの屈曲する壁面と呼応するようにカーブしている。そして、細長い照明スタンドは、京都らしく”和”のイメージで「竹」を表現している。
建築家 大谷 幸夫氏のコンセプト「人は自然の中に集い話し合う」の意図を汲み、自然の要素を取り入れた設計となっている。
At the main entrance are desks designed by Isamu Kenmochi and lighting fixtures designed by Motoko Ishii. The curve of the desks synchronizes with the curve of the bush hammered concrete wall designed by architect Sachio Otani.
The tall, thin lighting fixtures portray bamboo, as a representation of the traditional Japanese aesthetic that is characteristic of Kyoto.
To align with architect Sachio Otani’s concept of “humans gathering and conversing within nature,” natural elements are incorporated into the design.
