The 11th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP2013)

The 11th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP2013) was visited by 2,500 delegates from 74 countries from June 23 to 27. This was the first congress that was convened in Asia. The Opening ceremony was graced by the presence of their majesties the emperor and the empress of Japan.
The purpose of WFSBP2013 is to study the biological researches and the recent developments in psychiatry. Not just for psychiatrists but for biological scientists who have keen interests in the psychiatric disorder research have been increasing.
In the main theme of “Break through from brain to mind”, participants discussed and presented about schizophrenia, depression, dementia, and developmental disorder during the congress.
On the last day June 27, the public lectures were held and many participants including citizens listened to the lectures eagerly.
